The opening event of the BPC King of Balkan proved to be a huge success at Apollonia Hotel & Casino, with the Mystery Bounty attracting 321 total registrations (240 entries + 81 re-entries) and generating a €63,800 prize pool.
The tournament eventually came down to its final contenders, and following the elimination of Simon Bozhinoski in 4th place, the remaining three players quickly reached an ICM deal.
Despite entering the deal discussions with the shortest stack of the three finalists, Pavlos Konstantinou turned things around and went on to claim the title and the trophy, adding his name to the list of Balkan Poker Championship winners.
The Mystery Bounties also produced some huge prizes along the way.
The three biggest envelopes — worth €10,000, €5,000 and €3,000 — went to Simon Bozhinoski, Philip Kercakoski and Dimitris Vasileiadis respectively, with all three players also making their way to the final table.
