The €165 King of Balkan has completed its starting flights at Apollonia Hotel & Casino, with the tournament closing at 285 total registrations and the prize pool climbing to an impressive €42,750, comfortably surpassing the €30,000 guarantee.
A total of 37 players have secured their places in Wednesday’s Final Day, with all returning players already in the money (ITM).
After an impressive comeback, Manolis Chalkiotis emerged as the chip leader of the second flight and will also enter the Final Day as the overall chip leader, carrying a stack of 1,050,000.
He is closely followed by Day 1A chip leader Vasilis Zisis with 1,023,000, while Kostas Meliopoulos completes the top three with 950,000.

The Special Bounties added an extra dimension to the King of Balkan starting flights, with 14 Special Bounty players entering the field throughout Day 1.
Twelve of them were eliminated, each awarding a BPC Main Event ticket to the player responsible for knocking them out.

Wednesday promises to be one of the biggest days of the King of Balkan Festival so far.
While the final 37 return to battle for the King of Balkan title, the festival’s €350 Main Event with a €220,000 guarantee also gets underway with its first two starting flights.
