The €350 BPC Main Event continued its strong run at the Apollonia Poker Room, with another 18 players securing their place in Day 2 – and officially reaching the money – through Day 1C.
The third starting flight attracted 147 total registrations (107 entries + 40 re-entries), adding another strong turnout to the €220,000 guaranteed Main Event.
At the top of the counts, Ilias Lyritsis emerged as the Day 1C chip leader after bagging an impressive 1,760,000 chips. He was closely followed by Charis “Alopas” Perogamvrakis with 1,740,000 and Vasilis Zisis with 1,730,000, leaving the top three separated by just 30,000 chips.
Zhivko Atanasov also finished above the one-million mark with 1,210,000, while Nikos Oikonomou completed the top five with 1,125,000.
Dramatic Bubble Ends Day 1C
The flight came to a dramatic conclusion with simultaneous all-ins on two different tables.
“Pol” was eliminated in 19th place – already in the money – after his pocket jacks ran into the pocket aces of Vasilis Zisis. At the other table, Jordan Georgiev became the official bubble after his A-10 failed to overcome the A-K of Nikos Oikonomou.
With the bubble decided, the remaining 18 players bagged their chips for Day 2, with all of them already guaranteed a cash.

Should a player qualify more than once, only their biggest stack will be carried forward to Day 2, giving already-qualified players another opportunity to improve their position before Saturday’s action begins.
